School Nurse Confidence with Diabetes Devices in Relation to Diabetes Knowledge and Prior Training: A Study of Convergent Validity

Objective. The diabetes device confidence scale (DDCS) is a new designed to evaluate school nurse with devices. We hypothesized that the DDCS score would be associated related constructs of knowledge, experience, and training. Research Design Methods. In cross-sectional study, we coadministered knowledge test 2 (DKT2) questionnaires nurses in Pennsylvania. summarized scores (range 1–5) descriptively. evaluated relationship between DKT2 percent mean Spearman correlation coefficient. Simple linear regression examined characteristics as predictors score. Results. A total 271 completed surveys were received. was 3.16 ± 0.94, indicating moderate devices overall.
